MyCity
During my bachelors degree I had the opportunity to work together with MyCity, the smart city initiative within Atos. During this project I developed a working prototype for an interactive website that aims to encourage people to cycle more. On this website, users can share cycling routes containing characteristics that fit their desire. Characteristics such as a route that isn’t too busy in terms of traffic, a route with a charging station for their e-bike or a route with a nice rest stop can all be selected through the smart filter.
The website furthermore allows users to raise money for a charity of their choosing, simply by cycling. The questionnaires the study participants filled in showed that people would like such a feature where small amounts of money can be raised whilst they are on their bikes. The local municipality showed interest in such a feature as well.
